Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 11 October 2026
Ginta is for real businesses, freelancers, students and projects. To keep it safe for everyone, websites made with Ginta, and the way you use Ginta, must not include or do any of the following.
Not allowed on Ginta websites
- Illegal content of any kind, including content that sexually exploits children (we report it to the authorities), terrorist content, and the sale of illegal goods or services.
- Phishing and scams: pages that imitate a bank, a payment service, a public authority or another company, or that collect passwords, card details, crypto wallet seed phrases or one-time codes. (Ginta refuses password fields and outside form targets for this reason.)
- Malware and anything that attacks visitors' devices, mines cryptocurrency or redirects visitors elsewhere without their knowledge.
- Impersonation of a real person or organisation, or pretending to be connected with one.
- Hate and harassment: content that attacks or threatens people for who they are, or that harasses, doxxes or exposes private information about someone.
- Sexually explicit content, and content that glorifies serious violence or self-harm.
- Misleading business information: fake reviews or ratings, invented prices, false claims about qualifications, health or safety.
- Infringing content: text, images, logos or trademarks you don't have the rights to use.
- Unlicensed regulated activities, such as gambling, financial or investment offers, or medicines, without the licences the law requires.
- Spam: sending unsolicited messages that point to a Ginta website, or using a website's forms to send spam.
Not allowed when using Ginta
- Trying to break, overload, probe or get around Ginta's security, limits or plans (including automated mass creation of accounts or websites).
- Using Ginta's AI to create content that breaks this policy.
- Using someone else's account, or reselling Ginta itself without our written agreement (agencies building websites for their own clients is fine).
- Using a website mainly to host files for other places (Ginta hosts websites, not file downloads or media for other sites).
What we do
We don't watch your websites in general, but we act on reports and on what our automatic checks find. Depending on how serious it is, we may ask you to fix a website, remove a page, block a website, or close an account, and we tell you why (see illegal content and reports). Clear illegal content or a danger to visitors can be blocked at once. You can always ask us to review a decision.
