Use Ginta inside Claude or ChatGPT
Already use Claude or ChatGPT? Connect Ginta, and your assistant can design and publish websites for you right in the chat. They are saved in your Ginta account, next to the ones you make on this website.
Copy this address. You'll paste it in the steps below:
https://ginta.app/mcp
The first time, a Ginta window opens: sign in (or create a free account) and press Allow.
Added Ginta earlier with an address ending in workers.dev? Remove that connector and add it again with the address above.
Claude (claude.ai and the Claude desktop app)
- Open Customize → Connectors (direct link:
https://claude.ai/customize/connectors; in older versions Settings → Connectors). - Click + and choose Add custom connector.
- Name:
Ginta. Remote MCP server URL:https://ginta.app/mcp. Leave Advanced settings (OAuth Client ID / Secret) empty: Ginta registers Claude automatically. - Click Add, then Connect next to Ginta. A Ginta window opens: sign in (or create a free account) and press Allow.
- In a new chat, click + (or the tools icon), open Connectors and make sure Ginta is switched on.
- Ask, for example: "Use Ginta to make a website for my bakery 'Forno da Graça' in Lisbon. We bake sourdough and pastel de nata, open Tue–Sun 8–18. Here's our logo: https://…/logo.png"
Free Claude accounts may be limited to one custom connector. On Team/Enterprise plans an owner first adds it under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web (same URL); members then click Connect in Customize → Connectors.
ChatGPT
Custom connectors need developer mode, which depends on your plan (currently Business, Enterprise and Edu; some Plus/Pro accounts have it too).
- Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Go back to Apps & Connectors and click Create (or Add custom MCP server).
- Name:
Ginta. MCP server URL:https://ginta.app/mcp. Authentication: OAuth. - Tick "I trust this application" and click Create. Sign in to Ginta and press Allow.
- In a new chat, click +, choose Developer mode / Ginta, and describe your website.
ChatGPT asks you to confirm before Ginta publishes or changes a site. That's normal.
Claude Code (terminal)
claude mcp add --transport http ginta https://ginta.app/mcp
Then run /mcp inside Claude Code, choose ginta → Authenticate, sign in to Ginta in your browser and press Allow. Add --scope user to the command to make Ginta available in all your projects.
What your assistant can do with Ginta (technical details)

Reads Ginta's design guide: how to choose a look that fits your business, fonts, real photos, icons and building blocks (the AI calls this first). |
list_sites |
Lists the websites in your account. |

Checks if a web address like bella-roma.ginta.page is free. |
create_site |
Publishes a new website in your account. |
get_site, update_site |
Reads and changes one of your websites. |
preview_site |
Takes screenshots of your website so the AI can see it and polish the design. |
attach_image |
Puts your own photo or logo online (from a link to the image, or the file itself) so the AI can place it on your website. |
list_versions, rollback_version |
Shows earlier versions and restores one (undo). |
get_form_submissions |
Shows messages visitors sent through your website's forms. |
get_account |
Shows your plan, how many websites and domains it includes, and your credits. |
connect_domain, domain_status |
Connects your own domain (like yourbakery.com) to a website, tells you the one DNS record to add, and checks until it's live. |
Good to know
- Photos are free stock photos from Pexels (their license needs no credit on the page). Send links to your own photos or logo and the AI puts them online with
attach_imageand uses them instead. - Your AI will ask you for real details before adding things like a contact form (which email gets the messages), a map (your address), a WhatsApp button (your number) or a payment button (your Stripe/PayPal link). It never invents phone numbers, prices or reviews.
- Websites stay online as long as you have your Ginta account, and can be found on Google (the AI writes their title, description and business details). The Free plan includes 1 website; paid plans include more (see Pricing). Publishing from Claude or ChatGPT uses no Ginta credits: your own AI does the work.
- Free websites show a small "Made with Ginta" line in their footer; paid plans can hide it.
- To change a website later, just ask in a new chat: "Change the opening hours on my Ginta site bella-roma". Your assistant can see the websites in your account.
- To disconnect, remove the connector in Claude or ChatGPT.
