Is your website fast? Free website checker

Enter your website's address. Google loads it on a simulated mid-range phone and scores it out of 100 for speed, accessibility, best practices and search engines. You get the scores and the problems worth fixing first, in plain words. Free, no sign-up.

It usually takes 15 to 60 seconds. We keep each result for 24 hours, so the same address opens instantly after that.

What the four scores mean

90 to 100 is good, 50 to 89 needs work, under 50 is poor. Scores move a few points between runs, because the test is run on real servers over a real network.

Why speed matters for a small business

Most local customers find you on a phone, often on mobile data. Google's guidance for site owners is to aim for the main content to appear within 2.5 seconds, for taps to respond in under 200 milliseconds, and for the page not to jump around while loading (a layout shift under 0.1), and it says these "Core Web Vitals" align with what its ranking systems reward (Google Search Central). Put simply: a fast page helps both the visitor who is standing outside your shop and your place in search results.

The most common problems, and what to do

  1. Photos straight from a phone or camera. A 5 MB photo shown 600 pixels wide. Resize photos to the size they're shown at and save them as WebP or AVIF.
  2. Page builders and plugins. Each slider, chat bubble, pop-up and tracker adds scripts every visitor downloads. Remove what you don't use.
  3. Text that's hard to read. Light grey on white fails the contrast check and is hard to read outdoors.
  4. Missing basics for Google. No page title, no description, or a page accidentally set to "noindex".
  5. Things that jump. Images without sizes, and banners that appear after the page loads.

How Ginta websites score

Ginta builds websites with speed as a rule, not an option: only the CSS a page uses, fonts and photos from the site's own address, photos sized for the screen, nothing that jumps. Our six demo websites scored 92 to 100 for speed and 100 for accessibility in Lighthouse's phone test, the test behind PageSpeed (measured October 2026). If your current website struggles here, you can make a new one with Ginta in about a minute, free, with your own domain.

Questions

Is this the same test as Google PageSpeed Insights?

Yes. We ask Google's PageSpeed Insights API to run Lighthouse on your page with phone settings, the same test as on Google's own PageSpeed page. We add plain-words explanations and sort the problems by how much they matter.

Why is my score different every time?

The test loads your page over a real network on real servers, so timings vary a little. Differences of a few points are normal; look at the trend, not one run.

Why does my website score badly on phones but feels fast on my computer?

The test simulates a mid-range phone on a mobile connection, which is much slower than a laptop on Wi-Fi. That's what many of your visitors use.

What do you store?

The address you checked (without anything after a "?") and its result, for 24 hours, so the next check of the same page is instant. We don't store who checked it; to stop abuse we count checks per network using a one-way hash of the IP address.

Can I check any website?

Any public page. Pages behind a login, and addresses like localhost or IP numbers, can't be checked. You can check up to 10 new addresses an hour.
