A Durable AI alternative whose free plan really publishes

Ginta and Durable both build a small business website from a few answers in about a minute. The biggest difference: Ginta's free plan puts your website online for anyone to visit, while Durable's free plan is a private preview, and a public Durable site starts at $22 a month billed yearly. If you want one tool for your website, customer list, social posts and review requests, Durable does more than Ginta and is the better fit.

We make Ginta. Every fact about Durable below comes from Durable's own pricing page and AI website builder page, checked on 19 October 2026 (links at the end).

Why people look for a Durable AI alternative

Durable is fast and made for small businesses, which is why people try it. You "answer 3 questions about your business" (industry, name, goals) and the site is built in "around 30 seconds". Then:

Who it's for Owners who want a good website with the usual parts Owners who want a website plus CRM, marketing and review tools in one place

Credits aren't comparable one to one: a Ginta credit is one cent of real AI cost (a one-page website with our best AI is about 20 credits, more pages use more; a change with our fast AI about 0.2), and Durable's credits cover its own list of AI tasks. Ginta's prices include tax and are the same number in euros (eurozone) or US dollars (everywhere else). Durable shows its prices in dollars.

What Ginta does differently

You can start for real without paying. On Ginta's Free plan your website is public, indexable by Google and stays online as long as you have your account (up to 20 websites at their Ginta address). Share the link and collect messages through its contact form before deciding to pay. Your own domain needs a paid plan.

You write in your own words. Instead of picking an industry from a list, you describe the business the way you'd tell a friend, in your language. Ginta asks a few questions only when it needs facts, uses only what you told it, and lists anything it had to guess so you can check it.

Ready-made parts you manage without AI. A menu with prices and "sold out for now", a gallery, a blog, quote requests, announcements, and on paid plans online booking, a shop and events and classes. Editing them costs no credits.

Your own AI can do the work. Connect Ginta to Claude or ChatGPT and your assistant builds, publishes and changes the website in your Ginta account. Ginta's Hosting plan (€5 a month, your own domain) is made for that, and building this way uses no Ginta credits. See website builder MCP.

When Durable is the better choice

Moving from Durable to Ginta

Paste your current texts on ginta.app and Ginta builds a new website in about a minute (it won't copy your Durable design; ask for the look you want). Add your photos and parts, then connect your domain in Settings. If you're an electrician, cleaning company or personal trainer, those pages show a real example and what customers look for.

Questions

Is Durable's free plan really free?

It is free, but it's a "private preview" you can share, not a public website. A public site, even on Durable's own durable.site address, needs the Launch or Grow plan (checked 19 October 2026).

Is Ginta free?

Yes, to start: building needs a free account, you get 20 credits when you confirm your email (about enough for a first one-page website with our best AI) and 3 more a day, up to 15 a month. The Free plan keeps your websites online at their Ginta address with a small badge. All plans.

Does Ginta have a CRM or social media posts?

No. Ginta keeps your website's messages, bookings, orders and quote requests in your account, but it has no customer database, social posting or review requests.

Is Ginta faster than Durable?

No. Durable says around 30 seconds; a Ginta website is usually online about a minute after you answer the questions. Part of that minute goes on checks: Ginta opens the pages at phone and desktop sizes, tries every link and form, and fixes what doesn't work before the site goes public.
