Ginta vs Carrd
Ginta vs Carrd: which is better for a business website?
If all you need is a simple one-page site or link page on your own domain, Carrd is cheaper than Ginta, at $19 a year, and it's the better buy. If the website has to work for a business, with online booking, a menu, quote requests, a shop or a few pages, Ginta does that work for you: you describe the business, the AI builds it, and you change it by asking.
Carrd builds "simple, free, fully responsive one-page sites", it's quick to learn and its prices are tiny. Businesses look elsewhere when the one page has to do more: there's no built-in booking, store, menu or blog (booking means embedding another service), forms and embeds start at Pro Standard, and you build every section by hand.

When to pick Carrd
- A link-in-bio page, a personal page or a launch page. Carrd is made for this, and $9 to $19 a year is hard to beat.
- You enjoy laying things out yourself. Carrd gives you full manual control of every element; Ginta has no drag-and-drop editor.
- Many small sites. Carrd's higher tiers go up to 1,000 sites. Ginta's plans have more limited website counts (50 on Hosting).
- No AI, no credits. Carrd is one predictable yearly price. Ginta's own AI uses credits (25 when you confirm your email, then 5 a day, up to 20 a month, and monthly credits on Light and up).
- Cookie-free analytics built in. Carrd launched its own on 2 October 2026.
When to pick Ginta
- The site has to take bookings, orders or enquiries. Booking with deposits, a shop, events, a menu and quote requests are built in, on every plan (Free: up to 25 products, 30 bookings a month and 5 upcoming events per website).
- A contact form on the free plan, with messages in your inbox and by email.
- You don't want to build it. Ginta writes the texts in your language from the facts you give, picks fonts, colours and photos, and lists anything it had to guess.
- More than one page when the business has real content for it: menus, blog posts, albums and products get their own pages.
- You build with Claude or ChatGPT. Ginta's MCP server publishes and changes the site, using no Ginta credits.
The honest price comparison
Carrd wins on price. Pro Standard costs $19 a year for 10 sites with custom domains, and Pro Plus ($49 a year) adds advanced forms, site download, redirects and password protection. Ginta's cheapest plan with your own domain is Hosting at €5 a month (€50 a year paid yearly), meant for people who build with their own Claude or ChatGPT; Light, with Ginta's own AI included, is €19 a month.
What the difference pays for:
- The AI does the building. On Ginta you don't design anything. Ginta writes the texts in your language from the facts you give, picks fonts and colours, uses your photos (or makes fitting ones with AI when you have none), and lists anything it had to guess so you can check it.
- Business parts you manage without code or embeds. A menu with prices, sizes, dietary tags and "sold out for now"; quote requests with your own questions per service (and photos, if you want them); announcements that disappear by themselves; online booking with confirmation emails, a shop with a cart and orders, and events and classes with sign-ups (every plan; Free: up to 25 products, 30 bookings a month and 5 upcoming events per website).
- What Carrd keeps for Pro Plus, on every Ginta plan: password protection (a website set to Private) and downloading your site's code.
- Changes in seconds. Write "we're closed on 24 December" or "add a page about wedding cakes" and it happens. On paid plans with Ginta's AI, the monthly credits cover everyday changes: with our fast AI a change is about 0.3 credits.
If none of that matters to you, keep Carrd. It's a very good tool for a single page.
Moving from Carrd to Ginta
Copy the texts from your Carrd page, paste them on ginta.app with a sentence about your business, and Ginta builds a new website in about a minute. Ask for the parts you need ("add booking for haircuts, 30 minutes", "add our menu"), add your photos, then connect the same domain in the website's Settings → Address & domain: Ginta shows the exact DNS steps for your registrar. Keep the Carrd site until the new one is live. See real examples for a barber, café or car repair shop.

Is there a free Carrd alternative for a business?
Ginta's Free plan publishes up to 20 websites at their Ginta address with a contact form, a menu, a gallery, a blog, quote requests, reviews, booking, a shop and events (up to 25 products, 30 bookings a month and 5 upcoming events per website), and a small "Made with Ginta" badge. Your own domain needs a paid plan. Building needs a free account.
Can I use my Carrd domain with Ginta?
Yes, on paid plans (from €5 a month). Carrd doesn't sell domains, so yours is already at a registrar such as Cloudflare, Namecheap or Porkbun. You change its DNS records to point at Ginta, and Ginta shows the steps for that registrar.
Can Ginta make just one page, like Carrd?
Yes. Most small business websites Ginta makes are one page; it adds more pages only when the business has real content for them, and you can ask for one page.
Does Ginta have templates?
No template gallery. Ginta's AI designs each website for the business you describe; you can describe the look you want or send a screenshot of a site you like.
