Website for florists

A florist website where people choose a bouquet size, a time to collect and a card message

Flowers are bought for a day: a birthday, a thank-you, a funeral. The website has to say what a bouquet costs in each size, when it can be collected or delivered and where you deliver, then take the card message and the payment.

Free to start: finish the sentence, create a free account and confirm your email (25 free credits), and Ginta builds it right away.

Veldbloem, a florist website for Utrecht: “Seasonal flowers from Utrecht” with a Choose a bouquet button, a line about collecting at the studio or bike delivery anywhere in Utrecht, and a photo of a florist's hands arranging a bouquet of pink and white flowers
Veldbloem, a demo shop made through Ginta's MCP server for this page (a fictional business): seasonal and white bouquets in sizes, tulips in season, dried flowers by post, a vase at 20% off in the cart, gift cards, collection times and bike delivery in Utrecht.

What flower buyers check before they order

  • The price in each size, in plain numbers, not "from" with no top.
  • What's in it: seasonal (and the photo is an example) or always the same flowers.
  • When: the days and times you hand over or deliver, and how late they can order.
  • Where you deliver, and what it costs, to their own address or someone else's.
  • The card: a box for their message.
  • Sympathy flowers, said quietly and clearly, for the people who need them.

The sections a florist website needs

  1. Top of the page: what and where, Choose a bouquet, collection and delivery in one line.
  2. The bouquets, by kind: fresh flowers, dried flowers, vases, gift cards.
  3. Collection and delivery: the times, the area, the prices.
  4. Weddings and events, with a contact form if you do them.
  5. About the shop: where the flowers come from, your address, opening hours and a map.
  6. Contact.

Bouquets by size, flowers by season

Veldbloem's seasonal bouquet is one product with a size choice: small €30, medium €42, large €58. Its description says what changes: "Whatever is best this week from Dutch growers... The photo shows one from this autumn." The white bouquet (medium or large) is for sympathy or a calm room. Tulips are only there from December to April, so in November they're marked sold out; in a shop that takes payments, a sold-out product shows "Email me when it's back", and each person who asked gets one email when you mark it in stock.

Collection at a time the buyer picks

Collecting at the studio is free and runs Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 to 18:00, with a time every 30 minutes, booked up to 14 days ahead. You set the notice you need before the earliest time, and how many orders one time can take. Buyers pick a day and a time in the cart, and the time is on the order, so a bouquet is ready when they walk in.

Delivery area: say it in words

Ginta's delivery options are set by country or zone, not by postcode or distance. Veldbloem's bike delivery (€7.50) is an option for the Netherlands named "Bike delivery in Utrecht"; Stripe asks for the address, but it won't refuse one in Amsterdam. So the page says it plainly, "Fresh flowers stay in Utrecht: they don't travel well", and the florist checks addresses before delivering.

Two more things to know:

  • Options are for the whole cart, not per product. Veldbloem's "Post in the Netherlands (dried flowers only)" (€6.95) says its rule in its name, but nothing stops someone choosing it for a fresh bouquet. Check those orders.
  • Delivery has no time picker. Times are for collection. For a delivery day, the buyer writes it in the order note; put your delivery days and cut-off on the page.

The card, the vase and gift cards

  • A gift message box in the cart, so the card says what the buyer wrote.
  • A glass vase at 20% off as a tick box in the cart, never ticked for the buyer. The vase is also a product of its own at €15.
  • Gift cards of €25, €50 or €75, emailed to the person the buyer names, with a message.

Fresh flowers are perishable, an exception to the EU's 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases ("perishable goods that expire rapidly", Your Europe: returns). Veldbloem ticked perishable goods for Ginta's Returns page, so it says so. Under every price: "Prices include 9% VAT."

How it works with Ginta

Write your bouquets with sizes and prices, what's seasonal, your collection days and hours, where you deliver and what it costs. Ginta builds the website with the shop, or your own Claude or ChatGPT builds it through Ginta's MCP server, as with this demo. Then change this week's flowers, photos and sold-out marks in the Shop yourself, with no AI needed.

The demo has no Stripe connected, so its buttons say Ask about this. Connect your own Stripe and buyers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay when they order; the money goes to your account and Ginta takes no commission. The Free plan holds up to 25 products per website (a bouquet in three sizes counts once) at a name.ginta.page address; your own domain and up to 500 products start at €5 a month (with your own Claude or ChatGPT) or €19 on Light.

More: collection times · add-ons such as a vase · gift cards · back-in-stock emails · Ginta Commerce.

Questions

Can I offer same-day delivery?

In words, yes: name the option ("Same-day bike delivery, order by 12:00") and say the cut-off on the page. The Shop doesn't stop orders after the cut-off by itself, so call or message the buyer when an order comes in late.

Can customers write a card message?

Yes. The cart has a gift message box, and the message is on the order with the bouquet.

Can I limit delivery to my city?

Name the delivery option after your area and say it on the page. The Shop sets delivery by country or zone, so it can't refuse an address outside your city by itself.

Can I take wedding and event enquiries too?

Yes. Add a contact form or a quote request on the same website; the requests land in your Ginta inbox next to the orders.
